The Wine Estate La Cadenette
Between Nîmes and the Camargue, the vineyards of the estate of La Cadenette are grouped around the farmhouse on about 60 hectares of a pebble soil brought by the Rhone. Sometimes the mistral sweeps and cleans the vineyard, but often it is a burning sun that heats the stones and the vine. Les Costières de Nîmes come from the blend of Syrah and Grenache grape varieties, which offer fruity reds with spicy and liquorice notes and refreshing tonic and rosé roses that evoke blackberry and gooseberry. The old vines of Merlot and Carignan produce the grapes which then give the wines from the Gard and Pays d'Oc.
